ONE YEAR UNLIMITED MILE WARRANTY ON NEW WOODFORD DIESEL PERFORMANCE OR RCD PERFORMANCE SHORT/LONG BLOCKS.
WDP will provide for repairs or replacement, at its option, during the warranty period of each new in accordance with the following terms, conditions, and limitations:
GENERAL TERMS
WARRANTY APPLIES — This warranty applies only to new long/short block models from RCD Or WDP that is provided to the original owner(s) of the product during the warranty period. This warranty is non-transferrable and does not apply to secondary owner(s).
REPAIRS COVERED — The warranty covers repairs or replacement, at WDP’s option, to correct any malfunction resulting from defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period. Repairs or replacements will be performed using the method WDP determines most appropriate under the circumstances. Repairs may be performed by an Authorized repair facility at the direction of WDP. In some cases, further inspection may be required before a warranty determination can be made, in those cases; the long/short block will be returned to WDP for inspection.
OBTAINING REPAIRS — To obtain warranty repairs contact us at 309-208-0838 and request the needed repairs. To substantiate a warranty claim, additional information will be required based on the nature of a claim. This information may include but is not limited to, vehicle service history, current mileage, photographs, and evidence of diagnostic steps performed.
WARRANTY PERIOD and PRODUCT REGISTRATION — The warranty period is 1 calendar year and unlimited miles. The warranty period shall begin on the date of delivery. Registration of the product by the final end customer is required for eligible warranty coverage within 30 days of purchase. No warranty will be provided for products not registered within 30 days of purchase.
LABOR – For long blocks originally installed by WDP, the labor expenses associated with a warranty repair will be covered up to $50.00/hr using flat rate times for the warrantable components repaired or replaced. Additional labor expenses associated with a repair are not covered. Labor coverage will not be provided for any long blocks originally installed by the end user.
LIMITED WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
DAMAGE CAUSED by IMPROPER INSTALLATION, LACK of MAINTENANCE, or FAILURE OF INSTALLED COMPONENTS — Defects and damage caused by a failure to follow the recommendations for proper installation or as a result of poor maintenance intervals applicable to the product are not covered under this warranty. Damage caused by failure to follow the specified BREAK IN PROCEDURE will not be covered under warranty. Damages caused as a result of contaminated fuel, foreign debris, lack of proper oil maintenance, or any other poor maintenance practice on the part of the owner is not covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover damage caused by fuel injectors or injector pump failure, engine overheating, EGR failure, Oil pump failure, broken oil filter stand pipe, improper tuning, piston failure as a result of failed injectors, excessive EGT’s, or any other damage that occurs as a result of a failure of a component not included in the long block.
MAINTENANCE — Normal maintenance and wear components are the owner’s responsibility and is not covered under this warranty. NON OEM SPEC OIL and NON OEM BRAND OIL FILTERS WILL NOT BE COVERED.
REPAIRS by UNAUTHORIZED SERVICE OUTLETS —Defects and damage caused by a service outlet that is not an Authorized WDP repair facility are not covered under this warranty.
DAMAGE DUE TO ACCIDENT, MISUSE, or ALTERATION — Defects and damage caused as the result of any of the following are not covered:
- Acts of God including, but not limited to: flood, fire, theft, freezing, vandalism, riot, explosion, and;
- Any vehicle that has been used for racing (on or off track), stunt driving, performance testing, or used under other extreme operating conditions.
- Any vehicle where the odometer has been disconnected or the mileage reading has been altered.
- Damage caused by a turbocharger, supercharger, nitrous oxide, or similar product unfit for the application.
EXTRA EXPENSES — Economic loss and extra expenses are not covered. Examples include but are not limited to: Labor, towing, inconvenience, storage, and shipping, lost time, or travel.
